SelfDefenseFund.com Supports the Rights of Texans to Bear Arms as Codified in the U.S. and Texas Constitutions
Fort Worth, Texas (January 2, 2017) – January 1st, 2016 marked a hallmark historic situation in Texas, where licensed firearm holders were granted their rights back recognizing the bearing of those arms openly according to our heritage. The change in the statutes which aligns closer to natural law and a civilized society was met with heavy resistance by many, but liberty prevailed to an extent. Few remember that citizens at one time were required to have arms in the defense of their country and as a sign of their loyalty to the community going back to the foundations of humanity.
“We believe that Constitutional Carry is coming to Texas as it has in 11 other states and 45 other states where open carry is recognized without the need of a license,” says Andy Valadez, Marketing Director for SelfDefenseFund.com and United States Marine (inactive), “We support those who are confident in fellow their fellow citizenry. If you can legally buy a gun, you should be legally able to carry that gun with the fewest restrictions possible, if any.”
“We realize that many folks make a lot of money by having the state license requirement to include gun instructors and competing service providers in this sector and will want to resist the licenses going away,” says Larry Keilberg, National Director for SelfDefenseFund.com, “We just don’t think that these fee structures are beneficial to our nation that already make it prohibitive for working dads and moms and single parents to be protected as they see fit.”
“I am a combat veteran of the U. S. Army (retired),” says CJ Grisham, Founder of Open Carry Texas “I am saddened to see that we have to fight to regain rights that we have always had as Americans – ‘The right to bear arms shall not be infringed’ should mean something to those who swear an oath to defend our U.S. Constitution.”
“We will be supporting politicians and activists and engaged groups who are fighting to restore gun rights in Texas and in America,” says Andy Valadez .
