Marketing Dynamics was instrumental in assisting the 14th Annual Gulf Coast Film Festival located in the Bay Area (greater Houston, Texas).  Marketing Dynamics was retained to help develop the film festival.

Here is what we did:

  • Brainstorming sessions and outlining a theme for the festival:  “Hollywood Nights:  Celebrating Indie Filmmakers”
  • Created ad sponsor deck  to help garner sponsorships and “in-kind” support
  • Planned and implemented several mixer events to showcase and socialize the festival via EventBrite.com
  • Video production with interviews of directors, actors, producers, and attendees prior to the festival
  • Securing “Red Carpet” step and repeat feature for all photo ops before and during the festival
  • Secured two award-winning films for the festival “Burnt” (best short) and “World of Fight Doctor” (best drama)
  • Secured the main feature film “In Search of the American Dream” by Director Baldemar Rodriguez (opening night)
  • Organized speaker panel featuring Actors Mayra Leal and Nellie Gonzalez and Director Baldemar Rodriguez with Hector Luna, Publisher of C47 Entertainment and News Magazine Moderating – “Latinos in Film:  Making your big break onto the big screen”
  • Organized “History in Filmmaking” featuring Al Reinert, Screenwriter for “Apollo 13” with Nellie Gonzalez moderating.
  • Media relations to secure radio interviews and consequent media features
  • Garnering the support of the Bay Area Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau
  • Garnering support of the Freeman Library and education features showcasing Director Wayne Slaten of “Patriot Act,” Filmmaker Michelle Mowrer “Preacher’s Daughter,” and Cinematographer Larry McKee
  • Garnering support from Faust Distributing to host a mixer and beer tasting with over 200 attendees
  • Revamping tickets for the event from “raffle” ticket to hefty keepsake tickets
  • High attendance and sold-out events for festival mixer, dinner, and movie screenings.
  • Leading the on-line marketing features at the website showcasing the filmmakers and our  team
  • After festival advice to prepare for 2013
