What:  Gravesite Memorial for United States Marine Corps Medal of Honor Recipient Lance Corporal Richard Anderson

LCpl Anderson was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions while serving in the 3rd Recon Battalion in the Quang Sri Province of Vietnam in 1969.

When:  Saturday, May 27^th – service begins at 10 am (0930 gathering at Funeral Home Parking lot at the entrance to Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery and caravanning over to site (see map)

Where:   Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery – 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas 77023 at LCpl Anderson’s gravesite. Look for a white tent.

Why:  Prelude to Memorial Day Honors citywide. A special service by Marines for Marines and Veterans.
